Osnabrück revives Hans Gál’s DAS LIED DER NACHT

Das Lied der Nacht (The Song of the Night), by Austrian-born composer and musicologist Hans Gál (1890-1987) was first performed to great success on 24 April 24, 1926 at the Wroclaw Theatre, but was never performed again after 1930; there is also no commercial recording of the work.

The performances in Osnabrück (which commence on 29 April) will be recorded by Deutschlandfunk Kultur and broadcast on Saturday, 6 May 17 from 20.00 (Western European Time).
